The new Queenswood

To be honest the first impression of Queenswood was very frightening... a lot of unknown faces and a lot of unknown places.. everything was new and because of that a bit strange.

I felt like I wouldn't fit in well because a lot of people knew eachother already because they had been together for the first two weeks.

The food was different and the behaviour of people, at first I had to get used to all of it especially the empty and silent room when I went to bed in the evening.

But from the third day everything improved. I had the honour to meet great people from Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, Russia........ and in my opinion you feel like home if you meet people you like, so everything was great. We laughed a lot about crazy happenings and just enjoyed our time.....

The lessons were really strange for me because I wasn't used to going to school in my vacation but the teacher tried hard to entertain us and I honestly have to say I wish I could replace my English teacher in Germany with one of the teacher of QueenswoodxD

Life in the 16th century

Well, to be honest it is a difficult topic to talk about...

If I lived in the 16th century I think I would prefer to live in the middle class. Maybe a daughter of a tradesman. Probably I would have a lot of siblings because that was usual at that time. I am not sure if I could get an education because for women it was important to learn to do the chores. What can I say I would not prefer to live in the 16th century because at that time there was high discrimination against women and I couldn't stand that. And living without a shower or a bath would be horrible and disgusting. But the major reason is that I want to say my opinion out loud without bad consequences. I want to have equality!!!

My weekend

My weekend was totally faboulous....
Saturday we went shopping in the Westfield Shopping Mall...... It was really huge, good for my shopping addiction and bad for my feet and my wallet xD.
But the best thing was that England has BOOST, oh my god I was so excited when I saw the store... I've fallen in love with Boost since I was in Australia. So I had to buy a grant tropical storm and it was fantastic, a taste explosion xD
After that we went in a cosmetic store and I found my favourite label ( Anna Sui ). Unfortunatelly Germany doesn't sell this label and so I was glad to see it in England.
But the highlight of the whole day was the musical we visited in the evening.
I can't express the brilliance of the musical ( We will rock you ). My mouth stood open the whole night because I was so impressed by the ability of the actors it was just incredible.
Sunday we visited Thorpe Park, the annoying thing was that the queues were really long and you had to wait for one hour but actually I didn't need the rides to have fun because Martha was the biggest and funniest attraction at that day.. She spent 20pounds by playing to win a cuddly toy and she won 2 little spongebobs but to be honest she could buy a huge huge spongebob toy with the money she has spent at that day.
And in the evening we were so tired that we went crazy and I really mean CRAZY.
We sat on the floor in our house and we just laughed about stupid happenings and after that we played softball and it was such a funny game.
I really enjoyed the evening and the whole weekend.
The last thing I have to say is to have people you can laugh with is the biggest present you can get.......

Excursion

So on thursday we went to the Globe Theatre and the Tate museum. I was really glad because the weather was quite good so I could wear my sunglass for the first time. The Globe Theatre was really interesting as well... We got to know how it was at the time Shakespeare has lived and you could imagine that quite well because you were in the replication of the theatre. After that we visited the exhibition and there you could see some costumes and the history.
The best part of the excursion was the free time we spent at the Thamses. We had our lunch and talked about the things we had seen. The next place we had to go was the Tate I totally enjoyed the time because I could see lot of arts of my favourite artists like Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali, Marcel Duchamp,....... so I was excited as well. All in all it was really great and I just can say that I enjoyed that time.

My favourite Movie

My favourite movie is "Adams æble". It is produced by Anders Thomas Jensen in denmark.
It is about a priest called Ivan who lives in total selflessness and cares about prisonor at an isolated place. He lives with lot of different offender for exmaple a kleptomaniac, a raper and a robber until he meets Adam who was accused of beeing a skinhead. Adam does not get along well with Ivan and they start to compete against eachother.
Adam tries to test Ivan's kindness and it exposes that actually Ivan is the one who needs help of somebody because he is mental sick.

I really like this movie because it has a special message and combines that with humour.

My Future

I want to live in Australia in 10 years. I will have a family or I will share my apartment with my friends. I could imagine that I will travel a lot because it is a part of my dream at the moment.
I want to discover lot of culture and meet lot of different people with different mentality as well to broaden my horizon. Depending on that my job has to be flexible. And of course I will have done my graduation. I hope I will have a good fashion taste although I'm old... Even if I live my own life I will care about my family and I will involve them in my life.

Rene Magritte:

Andy Warhol:
Today is the second ecomm lesson and we've got the exercise to write sth. about our idol/hero. Well, I had thought about that and I came to the result, actually I don't have one......
There is no one I would admire because I think it is ridiculous to be obsessed with a person in the media you don't know except the character you have seen in TV.
So I thought I'm going to write something about my favourite musician/band.
My favourite band is Muse. I think they are brilliant especially their live performances. The singer and the guitarist of the band (Matthew Bellamy) has an incredible voice and I just love to hear that. Muse have their own style to interpretate and to play music. In my opinion you cannot put them in one genre because they combine all of them.

My other music passion is german hip hop. Maybe it is a bit strange for a girl to like this kind of music but I does....
I love the beat and the lyrics.
It is lot of humour in it and you can understand everything they want to say.
Most of their songs are about problems of society and they criticize that in their own way.
So girls don't be shy to hear the music, I can just advise german hip hop especially K.I.Z.
